Day 1: Ha Noi on arrival
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you are welcomed at the airport by our guide and then transferred to the hotel. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show after dinner. Overnight stays in Hanoi.

Day 2: Ha Noi-Halong
A full-day city tour of Hanoi, the unique city of tree-lined Boulevard, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes, and oriental temples, features some highlights: Ho Chi Minh‘s Mausoleum (opened from December to September on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and at weekends) and his living complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and Temple of Literature. Afternoon: we depart for Ha Long City, the World Natural Heritage with over 3000 limestone islands and islets scattering an area of 1500 sq km in Tonkin Bay, take a short break at Dong Trieu Pottery Village, then proceed to our destination. Have dinner, O/N, in Halong.

Day 3: Ha Long-Ha Noi
Morning boat cruise to explore the bay while visiting some grottoes such as Dau Go and Thien Cung. Have a pleasant time on the boat while the captain and his sailors are preparing our seafood lunch. After lunch, disembark to return to Hanoi. Take an orientation tour of the town by bicycle through the French Quarter and the ancient commercial area of Hanoi. Check into the hotel. Have dinner. O/N in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi-Hue
Free until your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, visit the Imperial Citadel, from which the Nguyen dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and Dong Ba Market. Tonight, enjoy a royal-style dinner.

Day 5: Hue-Hoi An
Today, take a dragon boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River to visit Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, the mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes, and the mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh. Leave Hue for Hoi An via the Hai Van Pass. This scenic journey passes pretty villages and fruit orchards as you hug the coastline on your journey to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City
Walking tour through the narrow, winding streets of the Ancient Quarter, visiting Phuc Kien Temple, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year-old Tan Ky ancestral house, the Japanese-covered bridge, and the colorful local markets. Afternoon: visit the Cham Museum and take a stroll on Non-Nuoc Beach, where the Americans first landed back in 1965. Board an evening flight to Saigon.
The last destination is Dong Ba, the local market. Tonight, enjoy an imperial dinner in a city restaurant. O/N in Hue

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City-Cu Chi City Tour
Drive to Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground system covering nearly 250km, was shelter to over 16,000 locals and communist guerillas during the war. Return to the city for lunch. Afternoon: The city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, includes Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, and the War Museum, where we can view the displays and photographs during the Vietnam War in the 1970s. Photo stop at the Reunification Palace, the democratic regime of former South Vietnam. Afternoon: Enjoy shopping at Ben Thanh Market.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City-Vinh Long-Ho Chi Minh City
Morning drives overland to Cai Be, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On arrival in Cai Be, board a sampan boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and experience how local people exchange goods, fruits, and many other commodities. Continue to Vinh Long through small canals. Enjoy lunch with fresh food in the heat of the fruit garden. Visit an old colonial house and a rice corn factory. Late afternoon: drive back to Saigon.
